Meet the Speech Pathologist
Hi! I’m Mackenzie—a wife, mom, Speech-Language Pathologist, and proud owner of Peak Play Speech Therapy, LLC. ​

I started Peak Play Speech Therapy on the belief that every child deserves a safe, supportive space where their voice is valued—no matter how they communicate. Our practice aims to partner closely with families to build meaningful, functional communication skills that help children thrive at home, school, and in their communities.​ I strive to provide therapy is play-based, strengths-focused, and tailored to each child’s unique needs, honoring neurodiversity and celebrating progress in all forms.
My Story
My career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) was slowly shaped by years of volunteering and expierence with children with various abilities, strengths, and personalities. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Western Michigan University and completed my Master of Arts at Michigan State University. In my career as an SLP, I've worked in public schools and pediatric outpatient clinics in Michigan, Colorado, and Alaska.

I married my high-school sweetheart, and we have a sweet baby girl and an energetic Australian Shepherd

I'm a huge advocate for reading - My first job was at a library, and I love to talk about how important it is to read with your kiddos!

I love exploring - I spent a semester in Thailand exploring social entrepreneurship and traveling. I've also lived and provided speech therapy services in Colorado and Alaska.
